ARTISTIC DIRECTION

Clara Wolters

Clara Wolters is studying a bachelor's degree in choral conducting at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin with Justin Doyle and Prof. Tobias Walenciak. In cooperation with the university, she worked several times with professional ensembles such as the RIAS Chamber Choir and the Vocalconsort Berlin. Today she works as a choir teacher for the Children's Sing! Choirs at the Rundfunkchor Berlin and offers teacher training in this context.

 

She received important musical impulses as a singer in the Stuttgart Chamber Choir under the direction of Frieder Bernius and in the Federal Youth Choir under the direction of Anne Kohler. In October 2023 she took over the rehearsals of the Federal Youth Choir in cooperation with the Federal Jazz and Federal Youth Orchestras.

Since 2023 she has been co-founder and artistic director of the ATLAS Vokalensemble e.V. Clara Wolters also received conducting impulses in the master class with Marc Korovitch at the Conservatoire Regionale de Paris in 2022.

Clara Wolters is a recipient of multiple scholarships, including the Germany Scholarship, the Baden-Württemberg Scholarship, the Fulbright Scholarship and numerous prizes in the “Jugend Musiziert” competition in the violin subject. After studying school music with a major in violin and singing at the Freiburg University of Music, she completed a bachelor's degree in choral conducting and plans to supplement this with a master's degree in 2024.
